Zirconia

Zirconia has high strength, hardness, high-temperature assistance, acid-base corrosion assistance, and high chemical stability. Besides, Zirconia even has higher toughness than other ceramics. This feature makes Zirconia widely be used in a variety of industries, such as shaft seal, bearing, cutting components, mold, and cars parts, etc. Zirconia can even be used on medical for the human body, artificial hip joint.

1. Fully Stabilized Zirconia (FSZ)
This is a fully cubic crystal structure, has poor mechanical properties.

2. Zirconia Toughened Ceramics (ZTC)
This is the second phase and other materials (Al2O3, Si3N4, glass, etc.) as a composite material. For the purpose of improving toughness and mechanical properties.

3. Partially Stabilized  Zirconia (PSZ)
PSZ is the kind of Zirconia that our company manufactures. PSZ is used Y2O3 in order to make a tetragonal phase in the cubic phase. Due to the tetragonal phase having a phase transformation toughening feature, so PSZ has more toughness.

4. Tetragonal Zirconia Polycrystals (TZP)
TZP is used Y2O3-ZrO2 to make Zirconia has higher mechanical properties, strength, toughness, and chemical stability. TZP is widely used in the structure and biomedical fields.
